Personalized Learning

Think Through Math is a fully adaptive content delivery system that continually measures student progress and adjusts content delivery to continually place students in their zone of proximal development. The system is always collecting data and adjusting content based on student performance.

Think Through Math adapts in four ways:

Students takes Adaptive Placement

Grade-level Pathway is Created

Precursor Lessons are Inserted

Ongoing Assessment

First, an individualized pathway is constructed for each student based on their current grade level; however, in a concurrent process, the student takes an adaptive placement that determines their “working” grade-level and assigns appropriate precursor lessons into the student’s individual pathway. The goal is to make the student perform successfully at grade-level.

Second, the student has a chance to review and show proficiency on each lesson (and precursor lesson) by choosing to take a pre-quiz, which allows them to move ahead if they demonstrate mathematical proficiency.

Third, the student’s pathway is adapted after every lesson, based on the student’s performance on that specific lesson.
