Think Through Math Selected as Math Provider by the Texas Education Agency for All Public School Students in Grades 3 – 8

Unprecedented Differentiation to Accelerate Algebra Readiness
Think Through Learning Inc., an education technology company, announces that its flagship program, Think Through Math (TTM), has been selected by The Texas Education Agency (TEA) as the Texas SUCCESS math provider. Texas SUCCESS provides state-funded access to interactive math and reading programs for Texas public school students in grades 3-8.
Think Through Math is committed to preparing all students with best-in-class, personalized instruction.
Written entirely to the TEKS, Think Through Math is a supplemental instructional program that is focused on the critical foundations for algebra. The program is designed to deepen students’ understanding of critical mathematical concepts, improve higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills, and motivate students to persevere with unprecedented differentiation.
“Think Through Math is committed to preparing all students with best-in-class, personalized instruction,” said Kevin McAliley, CEO of Think Through Math. “We have been serving tens of thousands of students throughout Texas for several years and it’s exciting that the program is now available to every public school student in grades 3-8 as part of Texas Success. Our powerful blend of adaptive instruction and just-in-time tutoring from live, state-certified teachers embodies the future of learning.”
Personalized Coursework for Every Student
Think Through Math sets a powerful new standard of differentiation with its web-based and adaptive learning platform. The program focuses learning with personalized lesson pathways, explicit instruction, meaningful practice, and unlimited access to LIVE, state-credentialed teachers (including bilingual teachers) for more than 90 hours each week. Working in concert, these powerful features transform the way students engage with learning.
“Much research has been done on effective ways to increase the mathematical understanding and success of students who struggle with mathematics. We believe, however, that an effective digital program can serve all students,” said Janet Pittock, Vice President, Education. “Think Through Math’s distinctive approach to personalization and motivation affects every learner and allows them to experience success, early and often. That’s why so many students use the program from home as much as they do from school. The more we can motivate students to do math outside the traditional classroom setting, the more they will learn.”
Flexible Implementation Scenarios
Think Through Math can be used independently on the computer at school and is also designed to maximize the collaborative features of interactive whiteboards. The program’s interactive design encourages class collaboration. With unparalleled access to data, educators can leverage actionable reports to inform classroom instruction. Additionally, TTM creates efficiencies at home for parents and students with web-based anytime, anywhere access to instruction, immediate corrective feedback, and access to live teacher support. More than 65% of students complete at least one lesson in their pathway from home each week.
“Think Through Math is proven to work. When students take about 90 minutes to complete three lessons weekly, finish at least 20 lessons total, the program increases math proficiency up to 60%,” added McAliley. “Think Through Math is going to make a huge difference for thousands of young lives in Texas. We are honored to have been selected to be part of Texas SUCCESS.”
