“The culture of learning in my math classroom begins with all of us asking questions we don’t know answers for, admitting our mistakes made on the way to understanding and supporting a community where each person is a learner. Not saying this is always easy – sometimes we get confused or overly competitive or need to right a wrong. All of the bumps make the culture more accepting because we take the time to talk over what happened. The results are kids asking for and offering one another help.
As much as I wish I were indispensable, I am not in my classroom!”
