While students eagerly await the start of summer vacation, teachers and parents know that it can also be the beginning of the “summer slide.” Researchers say that the average child loses 1.8 months of math skills over the summer break and that it can take teachers 3 to 6 weeks of teaching to get it back.
To help your children maintain all of their hard-learned math knowledge, Think Through Math is kicking off the 2016 Summer Math Splash THINK Challenge to keep children engaged while building math skills and self-confidence.
Parents who register to take the Summer Math Splash THINK Challenge by June 13 and encourage their child to PASS at least 5 Think Through Math lessons between June 13 and August 4, are automatically entered into a random drawing for a $50 Amazon e-gift cards.*
*Only parent registrations associated with a valid TTM student account showing at least 5 passed lessons between June 13 and August 14 are eligible for the drawing.
