Arrun Kapoor is a managing director at SJF Ventures, a social impact venture fund that invests and supports growing companies that solve educational, social, and environmental problems. He is an advisory board member of two incubators – NYC ACRE: NYU-Poly and the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission Green Business Accelerator. He is on the board of FieldView Solutions and has been a board observer to Truist, a software company that facilitates corporate giving and philanthropy programs. Kapoor was most recently with Bain & Company in London and Delhi where he launched the firm’s internal green practice initiatives. Prior to Bain, he was a founding member and manager of a successful consulting start-up in New York and London. He holds an M.A. in International Political Economics from the London School of Economics and completed a B.A. from New York University with an economics and business focus.

Arrun resides in New York with his wife and child. He leads SJF’s work with both education companies and green companies that improve resource efficiency and sustainability. He enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs who have a passion for building rapidly scaling businesses and, in doing, make the world a better place. He is a ventures advisor to the SJF Institute, a not-for-profit organization that helps to support social entrepreneurs in a range of sectors including education, health/wellness, and the environment.
