2015 Back-to-School Release of Adaptive Math Instructional System Recognized
Think Through Learning announced today that the 2015 back-to-school release of Think Through Math (TTM), its web-based instructional system for grades 3 and above, has been honored with an “Award of Excellence” by prominent education technology magazine Tech & Learning.
Tech & Learning’s 33-year-old, prestigious “Award of Excellence” program honors education technology products that break new ground as well as those that add significant enhancements to proven tools and applications that address management, safety, communication, differentiated learning, assessment, and other key areas in education. A panel of more than 30 educators, who tested hundreds of entries, chose the winners.
Think Through Math combines rigorous adaptive instruction, a powerful motivation system, and live, on-demand tutoring from state-certified US math teachers who tutor struggling TTM students in real-time at the point when they need help.
“For decades, Tech & Learning’s “Award of Excellence” has been a respected and influential mark of distinction in the industry, and we are honored that once again Think Through Math has been recognized as an innovator and thought-leader in the education technology market,” said Allison Duquette, executive vice president of Business Development for Think Through Learning. “This award validates our commitment to ensuring that all students have the personalized learning support to develop sustainable math skills and a love of learning.”
“Once again this year, the Tech & Learning judges examined hundreds of entries to select the winners of 2015’s Award of Excellence. This wasn’t just checking off spec sheets and surfing other people’s reviews. Each product was handled and scored individually. Not an easy task.” says Kevin Hogan, Editorial Director for NewBay Media’s Tech & Learning Group. “These companies can be proud that their products were selected as winners by this prestigious team of judges.”
With nearly three million students in more than 180,000 classrooms using Think Through Math, TTM is the fastest growing supplemental math program in the U.S. With customized versions for each state’s learning standards, Think Through Math’s lessons include a wide variety of interactive item types, ensuring students are well-prepared for the more sophisticated question types being used on state-level assessments. TTM’s unique, customized motivation increases engagement and builds self-esteem so students increase their time on task.
